Merklands Wood Terms and Conditions
The proprietor reserves the rights:
- Not to accept any booking
- To cancel any booking in whole or in part at any time. Any refund or compensation relating to a cancelled booking, whether in whole or in part, shall be entirely at the discretion of the proprietor
The named guest who makes the booking and or the person who makes payment for the booking shall be liable for all loss and damage howsoever caused including, without prejudice to the foregoing generality, accidental, malicious or as a result of negligence.
Merklands Wood Luxury Lodges reserve the right to remove any person or persons from the property due to unreasonable behaviour, or any behaviour that adversely impairs the enjoyment of other guests or neighbours (including excessive noise), damage to the property or exceeding the stated occupancy. In such cases, refunds will be at the discretion of Merklands Wood Luxury Lodges.
It is a condition of booking that a lodge may only be occupied by the person named in the booking and their family and/or companions. Merklands Wood Luxury Lodges may not be sub-let to a third party. If this is found to be the case, the third party will have no legal right of occupancy and will be required to vacate the Merklands Wood Luxury Lodge immediately.
It is forbidden for guests to erect tents or use camper-vans or caravans or any other vehicles on site for the purposes of over-night accommodation. Any guests found doing so will be asked to leave immediately.
Merklands Wood Luxury Lodges accept no liability for events during your stay totally beyond our control, e.g. loss of services (water, electricity, TV signal, WiFi etc.), destruction of property due to flood, fire, earthquakes or acts of nature; or that the property becomes uninhabitable due to irreparable damage or on Health & Safety issues that could not reasonably have been foreseen. In such cases refunds will be at the discretion of Merklands Wood Luxury Lodges.
Each booking is made in good faith with the belief that the lodge booked will be available to you on the date stated. If for any reason due to circumstances out-with Merklands Wood Luxury Lodges control, the lodge is not available, we may be unable to provide you alternative accommodation. In the event of this happening the deposit and balance will be refunded in full. You will have no further claim against Merklands Wood Luxury Lodges.
Guests are free to walk in and around the woods for leisure purposes however this may present inherent risks in enjoying outdoor activities in a rural landscape, these risks form part of the outdoor experience you are buying into when you stay at Merklands Wood Luxury Lodges. You are reminded of the higher degree of risk the rural environment presents and you should take all appropriate and reasonable care for your safety and the safety of others at all times. Guests enjoy the outdoor experience at their own risk and no liability can be accepted for any loss or damage occasioned as a result.
Guests are free to use the facilities and equipment (hot tub, table tennis, table football and other sporting equipment) provided, however they do so at their own risk and no liability can be accepted for any loss or damage occasioned as a result.
